Winnie Foerster, 87, of Olney, entered into rest on January 30, 2023 at her residence in Olney.

Visitation for Winnie will be held at Thrasher Family Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, February 3, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Thrasher Family Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 PM. John Knakmuhs will be officiating. Winnie will be laid to rest next to her husband at Crest Haven Cemetery, Claremont.

Winnie was born January 30, 1936, the daughter of John Herdes and Margarat Hasler. She later married John R. Foerster on August 28, 1959 in Noble. Winnie worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) for many years. She was a member of Calhoun Christian Church and volunteered with Hospice care. Winnie loved to spend her time gardening and visiting with grandkids and her family.

She is survived by her sons: John B. Foerster (Kasey) of Olney, Michael Foerster of Olney, Bart Foerster of Olney; brother: Bob Herdes of Shelbyville, IL; sisters: Alta Lewis of Olney, Tami Hayes of Olney; as well as her grandchildren: Dalton Foerster, Rusty Foerster, Aaron Foerster, Nick Foerster, Brianna Foerster and great-grandchildren: Harper Foerster, Luna Foerster, Ella Foerster, Oliver Foerster, and Oaklynn Foerster.

Winnie is preceded in death by her husband, John, both parents, and her brother, Bill Herdes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Carle Richland Memorial Hospital Hospice.
