Zelma L. Derler, age 81, of Dundas, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.

Celebration of Life service will be at 1:30 PM on Saturday, November 7, 2015. Visitation will be from 12 (NOON) – 1:30 PM. Reverend Gary Wachtel will be officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded.

She was born on July 26, 1934 in Richland County, the daughter of William and Harriette (Trigg) Allison. She later married LeeRoy Derler on November 28, 1953 in Sainte Marie. He preceded her in death on September 6, 2015.

Zelma worked at many different places during her life. She was in healthcare, worked at Roadmaster and Wal-Mart. She was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed meeting and talking to new people. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters Elizabeth Ann Songer and husband Jeff of West Liberty, Sonya Carol Derler of Harrisburg, Arlene Derler-Drown of Wilmington; son William Lee Derler; brother John Allison and wife Linda of Olney; sisters Deanna Allison of Olney and Ruth Kessler and husband Sam of Xenia; 2 grandsons, Russell Utley and Cody Derler; 3 great-grandchildren Haley, Hunter and Harmony Utley and several nieces and nephews.

Zelma was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years LeeRoy Derler, parents William and Harriette Allison and infant daughter Margaret Kathleen Derler.
