Zola M. Klingler, age 96

of Newton, Illinois passed away at 3:25 PM – Sunday, November 29, 2015 at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM – Thursday, December 3, 2015 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois with Fr. Al Kemme and Fr. Ralph Zetzl celebrating mass. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Newton, Illinois. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 PM – Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at the church and 1 hour before the mass. In loving memory of Zola, memorials may be made to the donor's choice. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.
Zola was born on November 20, 1919 in Newton, Illinois the daughter of Edward and Rose (Dallmier) Kocher. She married Joseph Klingler on April 25, 1944 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois and he preceded her in death November 29, 1965. Zola was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and a friend to many. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Thomas Altar Society (CCW) and the Jasper County Home Extension. Zola was a lifelong resident of Jasper County and resided on the family farm until 1977 when she moved in to Newton. Most recently resided at The Villas of Hollybrook in Newton where she was lovingly cared for. Faith and Family came first in Zola's life. She enjoyed bowling, quilting, crocheting, flowers, gardening, playing cards and making homemade noodles for her family. Zola is survived by: 2 Daughters – Darlene Probst of Effingham, Illinois and Janette (Werner) Kocher of Dundas, Illinois Daughter-in-law – Mary Ann (Victor) Hardiek of Dieterich, Illinois 4 Sons – Donald (Jean) Klingler of Newton, Illinois; Victor (Dorothy) Klingler of Newton, Illinois; Vincent (Mary) Klingler of Mason, Illinois and Gerald (Peggy) Klingler of Watson, Illinois 33 Grandchildren; 69 Great Grandchildren and several little angels already in heaven Zola was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Norbert Klingler; son-in-law Daniel Probst; brothers Odillo, Eugene, Arthur, Julius, Lester and Victor Kocher and a sister Zita Reis.
